ABOUT

I am a 29 yr old woman who lives in London, UK and enjoys many fun things, including; travel, food markets, live comedy, Steven Universe, and cats.

Perhaps more relevantly, is my medical profile:

- NMDA Encephalitis with associated psychosis
- Organic cause = ovarian dermoid teratoma/cyst
- Unrelated cancerous ovarian teratoma/cyst
- Unrelated migrainous history

All of the above was experienced/diagnosed over the Summer/Autumn of 2016, and provides the basis of my blog: My Complicated Brain. For a more in depth telling of my story, please see About Me: My Story.

But this is the basis of this blog - to chronicle my explorations into the various methods of managing life with a newly diagnosed migrainous brain, which is also recovering from NMDA Encephalitis. These methods include: medication, diet, lifestyle, mental health, and any other tips I may come across along the way.

Disclaimer: Please forgive any medical mistakes, misnomers or misapprehensions - I'm not a doctor (in the words of Karl Pilkington), and the world of NMDA/migraine/ovarian cysts etc is complex and full of things I don't fully understand, even in relation to my own medical situation. I can only assure you that everything written on here is written by myself, in earnest, and for the sole purpose of helping myself understand this journey, and any others who may find themselves in similar lucky shoes.

To anyone experiencing any of the above: please feel free to reach out to me via this blog, with any suggestions, queries, or just to connect - it's a scary and lonely business, this brain shizz.
